Let’s Prepare for the High Holidays Together!

Come to Anshe Emet to pick up a High Holy Day Goody-Bag!

We have multiple shifts available for you to stop by:
Monday September 14 • 5 pm – 7 pm
Tuesday September 15 • 5 pm – 7 pm
Wednesday September 16 • 5 pm – 7 pm

The goody-bag will contain:

  • 2 mahzorim (prayer books) *
  • The Services and Events Schedule
  • The Memorial Book
  • A how to register and sign in guide
  • Assorted goodies

Use this opportunity to drop off your donation for The Ark, I Grow Chicago and Share Our Spare.

THE ARK cares for more than 4,000 people every year from all facets of the Chicagoland Jewish Community. They are seeking donations of non-perishable food, including:

• Barilla pasta sauce (vegetarian) • Green Giant canned vegetables • Applesauce • Canned fruit • Canned tuna • Vegetable oil • Canned beans • Vegetarian baked beans •  Peanut butter • Cereal  Pasta • Oatmeal • Crackers • Rice • Grape Juice • Canned Tomatoes or sauce • Shelf Stable Dairy or non-dairy milk

* – Remember, all items must be kosher. For canned vegetables, Del Monte is not an approved kosher option, but it is for fruit.

I GROW CHICAGO supports 689 households across 25 city blocks in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago to help their neighbors deal with the poverty and violence that they face, every day and to teach them how to thrive, not just survive. Their current top needs are:

• Toilet paper • Paper towels • Dish soap • Cleaning supplies • Small empty plastic bottles (6-8 oz) to distribute hand sanitizer • 3 Flip Chart Paper Pads • 3 Easels • 3 Laptop Carts

SHARE OUR SPARE’S mission is to ensure every child in Chicago has access to basic essentials necessary to thrive in the first five years of life. They are seeking donations of:

• Diapers • Baby wipes
