Something for Us (50+)

This is a social group for members over 50 years of age, providing quarterly events for single and married members seeking social activities within the community. Pro-Neg begins at 6:45 PM followed by an abbreviated service and a lively discussion with special guests throughout the year.

Something for Us also enjoys other special programs such as:

  • Trivia Nights
  • Shabbat at the Lake services
  • Millennium Park concerts
  • Special events and so much more!

Something For Us also volunteers on the last Monday (10:00 am – 2:00 pm)  and Wednesday  (1:00 pm-5:00 pm) of each month at the Lakeview Pantry.  Please contact Mimi Landau at mimiglandau@gmail.com.

Shabbat Shelanu

On the third Friday of each month, the Something for Us group holds a special Friday night service called Shabbat Shelanu. Services include a pro-neg, an abbreviated Kabbalat Shabbat Service, led by Rabbi Michael Siegel, followed by a discussion with the rabbi and our guest speaker.
