Together, we can continue to maintain and build our exceptional variety of daily and special event programs, create innovative new projects and initiatives, further establish our position as a premiere Conservative synagogue, and plan for tomorrow so that generations to come may experience all that Anshe Emet has to offer.

This fund has been established to help community members who are in need of financial help during difficult times.
Ruth and David z”l Kahn received the Rabbi Michael S. Siegel Visionary Award in 2025. Due to their love and devotion to both Anshe Emet and the State of Israel, the Kahn’s named this fund which will support meaningful programs and educational offerings about Israel.
Honoring the incredible work of Az Yashir, this fund has been established to further Anshe Emet’s musical vision that will lead to a bright musical future by Cantor Rachel Brook.
The clergy designate a specific portion from these funds to worthy Jewish causes in the Anshe Emet community and in the general Jewish community: making a contribution to the Masorti Movement, helping a family with financial hardship, sending a child to camp. The remainder is designated for Synagogue use.
This fund, in honor of Hazzan Mizrahi’s 30 years of exemplary service to Anshe Emet Synagogue, is used to supplement and create vibrant musical programming at Anshe Emet.
Celebrating a family simcha at Anshe Emet Synagogue means one also gets to celebrate as part of the Anshe Emet family. The Kiddush Luncheon Fund is available for your donations as well as to serve a major role in supporting our regular Kiddush lunches.
For some Bar/Bat Mitzvah families, it has become too burdensome to assume the cost of the full community Kiddush luncheon. Therefore, this fund is intended to help support them as well as the Synagogue on any Shabbat when there is no sponsor available. Thus it is our hope that others will consider sponsoring the Kiddush luncheon whenever they have a celebration or remembrance of their own so that we can keep the fund alive and able to support this intended purpose. Anyone may be a Kiddush Luncheon Sponsor and will be listed in the Shabbat Bulletin.
The dollars collected for this FUNd will be used to support Anshe Emet families in sending their children to Jewish camp and to Israel. Anshe Emet has hundreds of children who go to summer camp and to Israel every year. We support over 40 families with scholarships to help them send their children on these worthwhile endeavors!
Contributions to the Anshe Emet Refugee Resettlement Fund go toward supporting refugees and other vulnerable immigrants whom Anshe Emet has supported in resettling to Chicago. As these families often lack essential needs, your donation will make an impact in welcoming them to Chicago and helping them build their new life.
Due to your generous contributions, Anshe Emet Synagogue can provide scholarships to members to defray the cost of religious school expenses and to assist with the costs for our successful family retreat program.
Pam and David “Scooter” Simon received the Rabbi Michael S. Siegel Visionary Award in 2019. Due to their love and devotion of Anshe Emet, the Simons named this fund which commemorates the memory of a loved one through a donation to Anshe Emet. Funds support general operating costs of the Synagogue.
Judy and Howard Tullman received the Rabbi Michael S. Siegel Visionary Award in 2018 and established this fund to increase and enhance Anshe Emet’s technological imprint. Donations will be used to help the Synagogue more effectively reach and involve members and will provide support for the growing and changing technological requirements of the congregation.
