The central goal of J2M is to develop and deepen our students’ understanding of what it means to become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah: a Jewish adult. The pillars of our program are based on a teaching of our ancestors; that our world rests on three things: Torah, Avodah (Prayer), and Gemilut Hasadim (Acts of Loving-kindness).
We gather on 5 Sunday mornings and one Friday night throughout the winter months at 9:15AM to explore themes of Torah study, prayer, volunteerism and community involvement. We also spend a lot of time introducing families to one another, so that we all get to know more people in our community.
This year’s sessions include:
Sunday, November 6, 13
December 4
January 1, evening session on January 27
and February 12
