A Chicago native, Rabbi David Ebstein received his BA from Washington University and Rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary. After seven years as a congregational Rabbi, in 1995 David and his young family moved to Israel. David’s Israeli professional career began in Jewish education, first commuting to the Former Soviet Union to work with Jewish college students, and then with American teens on an Israel program. He then joined the staff at the Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies for several years.
Since becoming certified in 2008 as a licensed tour guide in Israel, David’s career is twofold: guiding tourists and pilgrims around Israel, and officiating at Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, and other life cycle events for visiting families celebrating in Israel.
David lives and works in Jerusalem with his wife, Rena Magun. They are blessed with 4 adult children, a daughter in law and a son in law, and 4 little grandsons.
