Winner of the People’s Choice Documentary Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, the new film from award-winning filmmaker Barry Avrich recounts how retired general Noam Tibon journeyed from Tel Aviv to the Nahal Oz kibbutz seeking to rescue his son and his son’s family from the Hamas attacks of October 7th, 2023.
The film was originally pulled from the TIFF lineup to great controversy, only to be ultimately reinstated and go on to win the festival’s top documentary prize.
