Join a group from Anshe Emet as we travel to Northwestern University’s Ryan Center for the Musical Arts (70 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston) to see the Opera, The Emperor of Atlantis. This opera was created by Victor Ullman while he was interred at Theresienstadt camp during the war. We will have a pre-talk discussion with Jesse Rosenberg, Inna Naroditskaya, Alan Pierson, and Joachim Schamberger, Bienen School faculty on its composer Viktor Ullmann, and the history of the work’s creation.
