Israel Update with Dr. Yizhar Hess 

Please join us to hear from the leader of the Masorti Movement. 

Yizhar Hess is Vice Chairman of the World Zionist Organization. He was elected to that role in 2020 as a representative of MERCAZ, the Zionist slate of the global Masorti/Conservative Movement. Dr. Hess, Vice Chairman, Mercaz Olami, was Executive Director of the Masorti Movement in Israel from 2007 – 2020 and represented the Masorti Movement in negotiations with the government regarding egalitarian prayer at the Kotel. He is co-editor of Questions About God, published by Ma’ariv. Dr. Hess, is a member of the Israeli Bar and earned a Ph.D. in Sociology and Education from Sussex University in England. He will be speaking on the effects of the war, the state of the Masorti Movement today and offer an opportunity for us to have a voice in the World Zionist Congress.
