Join Nichole Carter of Bright Star Community Outreach and Rabbi D’ror Chankin-Gould for an exploration of creating partnerships between the Black and Jewish communities. In 2018, they partnered on Let’s Get Together, a spring break trip to the South for Jewish and Black teens to discover their shared heritage. Drawing on that experience, they will share best practices for addressing racial justice at the intersection of these identities, and demonstrate that rather than one community instructing the other, the key is working together to create modes of collaboration which are both sustainable and beneficial. Rabbi D’ror’s session is part of a larger conference.
