Program Description:
Domestic violence is a pervasive community issue. Women and men can experience abuse and women and men should help be a part of the solution.
Join us for a brief presentation and discussion which will address the ways in which men can promote safety by intervening when discussions between men embrace negative stereotypes or become denigrating to others, and actively prevent harm when men witness potentially dangerous or harmful situations.
This presentation and discussion is being offered by SHALVA, empowering those experiencing and healing from domestic abuse by offering confidential counseling or referral and needed supportive services.
Presented by SHALVA volunteer Jeff Blumenfeld, who has worked in social services for over the last 25 years as an educator, therapist, and program director for JCFS Chicago.
