Join Hadar Chicago, and Anshe Emet Synagogue, for our Elul Learning Program with Rabbi Avi Killip.

When God Needs Our Forgiveness: How Crowning God Can Help us Live in a Broken World. Each Rosh Hashanah we again crown God as king, but God is not a king of flesh and blood. In an age when we have rejected monarchies, what can divine kingship mean? As we approach the annual coronation of God, we will explore our traditions’ rich understanding of what divine sovereignty means, and ask how this powerful spiritual frame can help us to face the hardest and most broken parts of our world.
