Conservative Judaism Around the World

When

November 16, 2025
10:30 am

Join Rabbi D’ror Chankin-Gould for breakfast and a discussion as he explores Judaism around the world with three rabbis representing Jewish life in four different countries.

What does synagogue life look like in Spain? How does the Conservative movement function in Chile?  In this series of lectures, we will learn from Conservative rabbis from around the globe about the strengths and struggles of their communities. Each session will be accompanied by a fabulous brunch featuring food of that country. Come to one or come to all!

November 16:
Rabbi Irene Muzas Calpe
from Spain

January 18:
Rabbi Irina Gritsevskaya
from Ukraine

March 15:
Rabbino Ale Bloch
from Chile

May 10:
Rabbi George Mordecai
from Australia

Together, we will Zoom with our friends and learn about their communities as well as the opportunities and challenges they face.  Each session will begin with a light breakfast from the country represented that morning, so we encourage folks to join in person.  Our guests will be on a Zoom link (live) in Malkov Chapel.
