Each Yom Kippur, we beat our chests on the same Al Chet, the same confessional. We intend to change, but then we fall into the same traps and errors and regrets: what does it take to actually change? Rabbi D’ror Chankin-Gould invites you to a conversation with clinical psychologist Dr. Rabbi Laura Gold about the work it takes to truly change your behavior and ingrained patterns.
Rabbi Laura Gold, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has had a private psychotherapy practice for the past 24 years, working with children, adolescents, adults and couples. She works with clients with a full range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, sexual identity and sexual orientation issues, and history of trauma. She also has a specialty in pre-marital counseling and helping people with religious and spiritual concerns. Rabbi Gold also serves on the Vaad HaKavod, the Ethics Committee, for the Rabbinical Assembly
