RIDE 1: Sunday, August 22 • 13 miles
We will meet at 8:30AM for bagels and juice before heading out at 9AM at for a 13 mile ride as we head west through Wicker Park and the historical section of Humboldt park to see the numerous sites of Jewish life from a time when Jews populated the area in large numbers. Led by congregant, Dan Spiegel , stops include the site of the Nathan Mark Jewish Orphanage, and several old synagogue buildings along the route.
RIDE 2: Sunday, September 5 • Max 30 miles
If you are planning on joining the Bike the Drive event on this day, think about doing it as part of a group from Anshe Emet. Pre-register and pick up your packet a few days early at the Bike the Drive, then join Ricca Slone and Leonard Rau at the corner of Lake shore Drive and Irving Park Rd at 5:50AM with a hard leave time at 6AM.
RIDE 3: Sunday, September 12 • 25 miles
Join Leonard Rau and company on a longer 25 mile ride to Hyde Park and the site of the Rosenwald Apartments.
