How to Disagree  with Your Teenager: Mahloket Matters, A class for parents of tweens and teens inspired by the Parades Institute

Is your tween/teen arguing with you more than ever? Is your tween/teen clashing with you or your spouse or your parents about Israel, anti-Semitism, world events, climate change and even their own wardrobe?

This Fall, Max Segal Handelman, Anshe Emet’s Director of Family Life & Learning, and Dana Hirt, parent coach and educator, team up to help parents of 3rd-7th graders use Jewish wisdom to approach these parenting challenges with constructive strategies.

This class combines rich Jewish wisdom with pragmatic parent coaching. Using the renowned Pardes Institute’s curriculum we will study conflicting opinions found in classic Jewish texts and mine them for contemporary insight. We will lean into Dana Hirt’s expert parenting guidance to approach disagreement within the art of parenting tweens and teens in their emerging world.

We invite you to spend 5 Sunday mornings with Max Handelman, Dana Hirt and fellow Anshe Emet parents, strengthening your parenting, and the community in which you parent.

Mahloket Matters meets Sundays 10:45-11:45am – Oct 17, 24, Nov 7, 21 and Dec 12 at Anshe Emet, outside as weather permits.
