Our virtual Tour continues with Josh Hartuv and Rabbi David Russo. The story of Jerusalem is that of a city of glorious periods of prominence and fame combined with infamous violent destructions. From King David to Rome, this tour will look at the waves of this pattern over the city’s first millennium.
Using the commemoration of Tisha B’Av as our lens, we will also look at the impact of exile on all of these destructions: what were their coping mechanisms, where did they go, and how did they remain proud of their identity?
