Jewish Builders of Chicago Walking Tour

When

July 15, 2026
11:00 am

Discover the lesser-known stories of how Jewish architects, developers and civic leaders shaped Chicago’s iconic landmarks and its commercial and cultural landscape across generations.

Learn about two major waves of immigration and how these new Chicagoans — and their descendants — built networks, navigated challenges and established lasting roots in a rapidly growing city. Along the way, explore how their influence can be seen across commercial, residential and cultural spaces, and how their ideas and ambitions contributed to the broader story of Chicago’s development. Their experiences offer insight into the collaboration, resilience and creativity that continue to define the city today.

Registration Due Date & Cap: Registration for this tour closes on Monday, May 29 at noon.  This tour is capped at 15 people. If there is expressed interest beyond the first 15 registrants, we will look into scheduling a second tour date.

Price: $30 / Person
