Travel back to the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893 and experience the first Ferris wheel through film and virtual reality.

The first Ferris wheel was a groundbreaking engineering design for the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. This iconic structure provided breathtaking panoramic views of the city and set a precedent for future amusement parks. Join Kelli Marshall of Chicago Movie Tours to learn about the Ferris wheel’s origins and contemporary reactions, as well as its demise and onscreen appearance. We’ll also experience a virtual “ride” and see what the wheel’s original location looks like today.
