Shireinu is Anshe Emet's volunteer choir.

This outstanding choir sings at Anshe Emet Services and concerts throughout Chicagoland. Widely regarded as a premier Jewish Choir, Shireinu has performed at Daley Plaza and numerous other venues.

Hazzan Steven Berke leads Shireinu. Before studying at the Seminary and working full-time as a Hazzan for nearly two decades, Steven received his first masters degree in Vocal Science/Pedagogy and performance. Throughout his studies and time in the pulpit he conducted a variety of choirs of all ages and skill levels.

Shireinu participates in High Holiday services, Anshe Emet Live, and may be heard performing at life-cycle events and throughout the greater community.  Rehearsal is for one hour on Thursday evenings. Steven and the choir are working hard to grow Shireinu, and he is offering a free voice lesson to anyone interested in being part of the choir.
