Men's Club

The Award-Winning Men’s Club at Anshe Emet Synagogue provides adult male members of the synagogue with a vehicle to meet and socialize with other adult male members!

Our main objective is to have fun together as Jewish men, while also actively contributing to synagogue and community programs. Examples of our social and educational programming include:

  • Beer tasting
  • White Sox & Cubs games
  • Concerts in Millennium Park
  • Team building
  • Passover Wine Tasting
  • Shabbat Services led by Men's Club members
  • Poker Tournament

More Men's Club Moments:

Click here to view photos from our recent FJMC Men's Clubs Man & Youth of the Year Awards Dinner, which Anshe Emet hosted on Sunday, March 3.

We have hosted 3 exciting programs since the start of this year.  On January 23 twenty-six MEN’S CLUB members and friends braved the cold winter night to experience the process and taste the products of KOVAL KOSHER DISTILLERY.  This was a great way to take the chill off.  Now that we are experienced, we can raise the spirits of our congregation any time.

MEN’S CLUB organized our best attended annual WORLD WIDE WRAP event on Sunday morning, February 3, along with FJMC Men's Club all over the world.  Rabbi Siegel provided Men's Club members and friends, as well as members of our Jews by Choice Program, with a captivating presentation on the significance of and instruction on how to put on a tallit and tefillin.  Our First Vice President, Gregg Pollack, then beautifully led the morning minyan.  Attendees were invited to stay for a tasty breakfast, compliments of Men's Club.  Tefillin also are available for purchase at a very discounted price subsidized by Men's Club.  Anyone interested in doing so may still contact Ritual Director, Naomi Weiss-Weil.  Thanks also to our Secretary, Alan Mintz, and our Treasurer, Neil Schwartz, for arranging the very successful morning.  Kudos to Cantor Liz Berke for coordinating with the JBC and making this a special educational opportunity.  Hope to see everyone next year.

Important Dates to Save: Mark your calendar for these great MEN’S CLUB programs coming up over the next few months:

Remember, we are incomplete without you.
