Hannah Adams is a senior at Walter Payton College Prep. A lifelong member of Anshe Emet, Hannah has worked as a madricha at the Joseph and Belle Braun Anshe Emet Religious School for four years. She loves attending camp at OSRUI, where she has spent seven incredible summers, volunteering last summer as part of the Avodah work/study staff. Hannah co-leads the Jewish Student Connection Club at Payton. She participated in JUF’s Research Training Internship, where her cohort researched disordered eating within the Jewish community, and Project TeenSeed 613, inspiring her to pursue socially-conscious entrepreneurship and create mindFULL at Payton. mindFULL is a club that nourishes teens’ interest in wellness and healthy food. She also serves on Payton’s Model United Nations Exec Board as the Financial Chair, is the Operations & Outreach Chair of Payton’s Economics Team, and competes on the varsity Science Olympiad team. Hannah plays varsity lacrosse at Payton and cofounded ChiSciLax – the Chicago Science Lacrosse Program – to combine her passions for science and lacrosse, serving students at under-resourced elementary schools by teaching lessons explaining the physics, biology, and rules that power lacrosse. Next year, Hannah plans to attend college and looks forward to becoming involved with Hillel on campus. She hopes to major in biomedical engineering, possibly with a pre-med track.
