 e was elected to that role in 2020 as a representative of MERCAZ\, the Zio
 nist slate of the global Masorti/Conservative Movement.&nbsp\;Dr. Hess\, V
 ice Chairman\, Mercaz Olami\, was Executive Director of the Masorti Moveme
 nt in Israel from 2007 - 2020 and represented the Masorti Movement in nego
 tiations with the government regarding egalitarian prayer at the Kotel. He
  is co-editor of&nbsp\;Questions About God\, published by Ma’ariv. Dr. H
 ess\, is a member of the Israeli Bar and earned a Ph.D. in Sociology and E
 ducation from Sussex University in England. He will be speaking on the eff
 ects of the war\, the state of the Masorti Movement today and offer an opp
 ortunity for us to have a voice in the World Zionist Congress.\n\nWe are g
