Join us for our kick off Wine, Women and Walking with God as we study the “what, why, and how” of our Jewish prayer book, The Siddur.

What words do Jews use in prayer?  What do they mean?  How long have we been saying them? Embedded in some of our most familiar prayers are big Jewish ideas that reflect a set of beliefs, a sense of history, and ultimately a philosophy that guides living a Jewish life.

Tzivia Garfinkel has been involved in Jewish education as a student, a teacher of children and adults, and a school leader her whole life! She was a founding faculty member of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, educational director of Shalom Sunday, a family school for immigrants from the FSU, and most recently she served as the Director of Jewish Life and Learning at the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School for twenty-five years.
