DESCRIPTION:Every year\, on the eve of Passover\, there is an obligation on
  firstborn children to have a fast day\, expressing their gratefulness in 
 being spared during the 10th plague which struck down the Egyptian firstbo
 rns. We celebrate a siyyum\, or the completion of a significant amount of 
 Torah study\, which is followed by a celebratory meal in lieu of the fast.
