This year, the Sisterhood service is dedicated to the memory of Roz Alexander Grodzin z”l. Roz was a member of Sisterhood for many years and an active participant in the Sisterhood services. Every year, she enriched our traditional service experience with beautiful and meaningful poetry readings. In that tradition, we will remember Roz by filling the sanctuary with poetry readings by our members.

We will also enjoy a post-kiddush discussion with Anshe Emet congregant Rabbi Reni Dickman, Executive Vice President of the Chicago Board of Rabbis and the Senior Educator of JUF and Rabbi Megan GoldMarche, who serves at the Silverstein Base Hillel in Lincoln Park and as a campus rabbi of Metro Chicago Hillel.

Discussion topic is: Women of Worship: What Does it Mean to You? How do we approach our evolving role as Jewish women, and should we even consider gender when contemplating religion? Everyone is invited to attend.
