 an hour! Hiking in the small but diverse landscape of Israel is a true Isr
 aeli cultural experience. It is no accident that every rock\, tree\, and p
 uddle has a name and a story that may go back thousands of years. Our trek
  will be our backdrop for exploring sites\, both ancient and modern\, whic
 h had a lasting impact on the local areas of the north and the rest of the
  country. We’ll work up an appetite as we stop at a local hummus and pit
 a place\, winery\, brewery\, and a break to eat the Israeli delicacy of wa
 termelon and feta (don’t knock it ‘till you try it!). Make sure you ge

  you’re cooler\, make your own!&nbsp\;\n\n 	20 ounces of chickpeas (if p
 ossible\, put the can of chickpeas in the fridge the night before the tour
 )\n 	1 lemon\n 	1 clove of garlic\n 	Salt\n 	Cumin\n 	Tahini (3/4 cup)\n 	
 Ice cubes (you will need a blender/food processor)\n\nRecommended foods to
  dip in hummus:\n\n 	Pita\n 	Carrot\n 	Cucumber\n 	Tomato\n 	Onion slices\
 n\nRecommended foods to eat with hummus:\n\n 	Pickles\n 	olives\n 	Waterme
