Nechama: A Workshop To Comfort The Bereaved

Thursday, August 23 | 7:00 PM | Anshe Emet

Have you recently experienced the death of a loved one?

Please join others from the community for Nechama: A Workshop to Comfort the Bereaved with Rabbi D’ror Chankin-Gould and Elizabeth Siegel Cohen, LCSW, FT.

Nechama is for mourners and their loved ones who have experienced a loss during the past six months, with particular attention to how to approach and cope with the upcoming holidays.

We will look at how Judaism lays the groundwork to provide comfort for the bereaved through the use of ritual and connection to other mourners.

Participants will learn about the grief process, coping mechanisms, different grieving styles, and how to gain and receive support.

NO CHARGE TO ATTEND. To Register, please contact Elizabeth Siegel Cohen, LCSW at (847) 745-5404 or [email protected].

Co-Sponsored by Anshe Emet Synagogue, Anshe Sholom B’nai Israel, Emanuel Congregation, Mishkan Chicago and Temple Sholom of Chicago.
