The Anshe Emet Sisterhood provides a place for women of all ages and stages to enrich their lives through programs that encourage education, personal growth, spiritual experience, and mentorship. We are a warm and welcoming community that provides a forum for our members and guest to share ideas and experiences. The tagline of Bridging Generations, Creating Community and Enriching Lives represents the values of the women of Sisterhood and strives to bring women of all generations together. Our programs are created keeping these goals in mind – a place for dynamic women of the Anshe Emet community.
Under the guidance of the Anshe Emet clergy, women will lead the morning service in the main Sanctuary. Thank you all who already volunteered to participate in the Sisterhood service. There are still some parts left, you’re welcome to sign up here.
This year, the Sisterhood service is dedicated to the memory of Roz Alexander Grodzin z”l. Roz was a member of Sisterhood for many years and an active participant in the Sisterhood services. Every year, she enriched our traditional service experience with beautiful and meaningful poem readings. On January 25, we’ll remember her by filling the sanctuary with poetry readings by our members.
If you want to learn more about Roz’s inspiring life story, her unique personality and acting career, listen to the two-part interview Rabbi Siegel conducted with Roz just a couple of months before her passing:
