Raising Confident, Self Assured Kids in a Photoshopped World

Thursday, May 4 | 7:00pm | Malkov Chapel

The Anshe Emet Sisterhood and Bernard Zell PTC present an evening learning how to empower our children when it comes to body image!

Learn how to help your children boost their confidence, develop more compassion and appreciation for themselves, their bodies, and all that they do with Leslie Goldman, Bernard Zell parent and Chicago-based health writer and body image activist.  Leslie has a BS in Nutritional Science and a Masters in Public Health and has authored numerous books on body image.

We will learn how to help our children, in age-appropriate ways, how to stop negative self-talk; how to distinguish between feeling fat and feeling sad or un-empowered.  Leslie will offer tips for parents in terms of role modeling body positive behaviors and how to empower our children to become more savvy when it comes to the portrayal of women in the media.
