Chesed
"You are not called upon to complete the work, but neither are you exempt from it."
- Pirke Avot 2:21
The Chessed Committee seeks to mobilize this caring community by providing opportunities for members of all ages to participate in acts of loving kindness. We aspire to realistically meet the needs of our community in a loving, respectful, private and effective manner.
We are always looking for volunteers in the areas of: cooking meals for families with new babies, helping with Shiva's and/or visiting the sick.
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Laura Baruch at (773) 868-5139.
