Rav Yoga
Rabbi Heather Altman infuses Jewish wisdom, prayer and teaching into the compassion, strength and power of Forrest Yoga to create Rav Yoga. Drawing on the Hebrew connection between “rav” (rabbi-teacher) and “rov” (plenty), Rav Yoga means Yoga Rabbi as well as Abundant Yoga. Rav Yoga’s synthesis of these two ancient traditions leaves you feeling empowered, renewed, centered and connected. Lightly infused with the breath of Judaism, these classes are for adults (and teens) of all traditions, genders, health conditions, or levels of yoga experience.

~Every Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m., beginning September 5th (does not meet on Holidays)
~Registration required with fee. $60 Anshe Emet members/ $74 nonmembers
~Drop-in $18 per class. Contact Rabbi Altman for her blessing.

Prayer Circle
Discover the power of prayer in our new monthly prayer circle. In your own words, pray for what you need.

It’s really quite simple:
~ Pour your prayer requests into our circle.
~ Ask us to pray for you and with you.
~ Listen to other people’s prayers.
~ Pray with them and for them.

When: The Second Saturday of the month
Location: In Rabbi Siegel’s study (2nd floor)
Time: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Spiritual Direction Group: Contemplative Spiritual Community
Jewish Spiritual Direction brings prayerful presence and holy listening to our sacred journeys. This group is for spiritual seekers and people who wish to explore patterns of meaning and guidance in their lives. In a safe setting, 5-8 individulas will gather with Spiritual Director Rabbi Heather Altman for monthly sessions. Spiritual Direction is a good fit for those attempting to cultivate spiritual practices and awareness, and who are willing to make a sixth month commitment to themeslves and the group format. 

Location: Anshe Emet Synagoge
Dates:     First Tuesdays of the month 
Time:       7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Fee:        $30 per session; six month commitment required

Fee will be submitted at the beginning of each six month period.No refunds for missed     sessions. Make checks payable "Rabbi Heather Altman"

Commitment of participation
I am unable to commit to attending all six sessions, and I will be on time.
I am willing to devote these sessions to seeking the spiritual dimension in my life.
I commit to honoring the group process and to bringing the other participants into my prayerful presence.

What if I want to join the group but can't make Tuesday nights?
When the group is full, we will add another group for a different day/time. Please let me know if your schedule only permits another/day time. Please contact Rabbi Heather Altman to express interest and let her know when you are available.
