Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove

Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in May 1999, having studied both at the University of Judaism and Machon Schecter in Jerusalem. Elliot grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies, and is now pursuing a Doctoral degree in History of Judaism at the University of Chicago Divinity School.

As a Rabbi at Anshe Emet, Elliot is involved in teaching adult education, serving the pastoral needs of the community, overseeing the Youth Department and USY HIGH, serving as rabbinic liaison for the Rose Crown Minyan and the Young Adult Division (YAD), and working with the B'nai Mitzvah students. He is also co founder of Makor, a community-wide Friday night outreach program. Elliot is married to a most extraordinary woman, Debbie Cosgrove, and together they delight in raising their four children- Lucy, Madeline, Zoe, and Jed.
