Ticket & Reciprocity Information

MEMBERSHIP TICKET POLICIES

Tickets for High Holy Days services are included with all standard memberships. Whereas worship is open to all during the year, we cannot extend this privilege for the High Holy Days. Tickets are required to attend all services.

Congregants should attend the service indicated by their tickets in order to avoid confusion and possible overcrowding. Tickets are non-transferable.

An Individual Membership includes one adult ticket for High Holy Days services. A Family Membership includes two adult tickets for High Holy Days services. Additional adult and child tickets can be purchased by all members. Location is based on availability.

Members’ children between 18 months of age through twelfth grade may participate in our childcare and youth programs at no charge. Parents who would like to bring their children into services MUST have a ticket for each child over the age of five.

CHILD/STUDENT TICKETS

A CHILD is defined as being 17 years of age or younger. A STUDENT is defined as being a full-time
undergraduate or graduate student. An ADULT is defined as being 18 years of age and older and not a student.

TICKET PROCESS

We will begin to mail tickets in mid-September. Tickets will only be mailed if at least 50% dues payment or payment arrangements have been made. If you have any questions or need to make financial arrangements, you may contact Laura Baruch, our Membership and Administration Director, at (773) 868-5139.

RECIPROCITY GUIDELINES

Anshe Emet Synagogue participates in a reciprocal High Holy Days ticket arrangement with other congregations. Members in good standing who are attending an out-of-state synagogue for the High Holy Days should call Rachel Rachel Fatoorachi (773) 868-5122 to make arrangements. Reciprocity is available ONLY to members in good standing (non-basic) and does not include guest tickets. Requests are due by Friday, September 5.

Reciprocal tickets are available to visitors who are members in good standing of an out-of-town synagogue. Due to seating capacities, seating is available in the Blum Community Hall only. The out-of-town synagogue can fax requests to (773) 281-2183. All reciprocity tickets will be held at will call and NOT mailed ahead of time. Requests are due by Friday, September 5.

NON-MEMBER TICKET PURCHASES

Space permitting, non-members will be able to purchase tickets after August 27: location is based on availability.
